Music in times of confinement
Like so many other musicians these days, we try to process the ongoing events into something positive, in our case, creative output.
From this week on, we release, in a spontaneous manner, more or less finished songs that are written in our times of confinement.
If you feel the itch to contribute something to the ideas, be it vocals, guitar- or even toilet seat solos, feel free to get in touch with us.
If not, you can simply listen to some brand new music.
Those songs are not intended to appear on a later Sleepers‘ Guilt album. All the ideas will be collected on our bandcamp page.
First song idea comes from Chris, who worked together with Phil on this one for the past few days. This song has no vocals nor real drums, so, if it calls to you, get in touch with us. Collaboration in any form is good in these days of isolation.
Enjoy the first song with the oh so creative title Solitude!

Rock Fossils documentary

You surely remember the super awesome show in an old iron mine we told you about.
Just today our friend, director Marcel Dostert (Visual Aberration), released a great rockumentary on the discovery of the Desdemonia fossil and the show we played on Saturday, November 16th 2019 in the iron mine in Rumelange in support of Desdemonia.
Find his brilliant documentary here and leave him some likes and nice comments!
Pre-production just started

Yesterday we started pre-production for our upcoming record!

Ben was the lucky one kicking-off the pre-production with some nice drum tracking at Rockhal.
Here is an impression from today:
Bass and guitars are next, so stay tuned for more news!
Welcome, Ben!
After 7 months of songwriting and rehearsing, we were finally ready to hit the stage again yesterday at the Luc is a Wurstkopf Fest!
So big thanks to Mindpatrol and Pleasing for sharing the stage with us and of course to YOU, the wonderful people that make club gigs such an amazing thing!
Those who came to our show could already meet our new drummer. So please everybody, welcome Ben! He can’t wait to get out there and meet all of you!

Oh hello! You’re still here?! Well, so are we!
We’re ready to hit the stage again and what better opportunity to do so than a sausage party with our amazing friends from Mindpatrol and Pleasing!
On July 13th we’ll be back with a new line up and new songs for you guys at Mix N’Kawa Bar, Belval.
Our friends from Mindpatrol will play new songs in a new line up as well, so if you wanna join us celebrating a new chapter in both bands’ careers, mark the date!
Farewell and Welcome
Many things occured during the last month in camp Sleepy. A band is always a quite fragile construct and as time goes by, changes need to be made to keep the project alive.
But one step at a time:
–Max, founding member and drummer for Sleepers’ Guilt left the band. We decided together to go seperate ways due to the ominous differences. We seperated in good terms without bad blood, yaddah yaddah, you know the hackneyed saying. But in our particular case, it really fits. We wish Max all the best for his future.
-So, as we are without drummer at the moment, our main priority is to find a new one. We took the decision to stop playing live for a moment now. Not only because the lack of a drummer, but also to focus on our next full lentgh album. We’ ve written a shitload of songs and we are still in the writing process. We never had so many songs written for one album. (and we’re still writing a bunch more) This time we’ll have much more choice to pick only the best songs. We’ll keep you informed on the whole process…
-Last but not least we want to welcome Marc Froehling on board as our new guitarist! He played with us live shows since juli and as time went by, the feeling was just right to take him on board.

So there you have it. We’ll hope to complete our line up as soon as possible. The following step will be the recording of the next album. After that we’ll be ready to hit the road again.
Cheers
Chris
